Job Description:
Methven, a leading company in the Tauranga area, is seeking a part-time Accounts Receivable professional to join our team. This entry-level position requires at least 1 year of experience in a similar role. We are looking for a hardworking and confident individual who possesses excellent presentation and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, contacting customers regarding overdue payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:1. Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.2. Contact customers regarding overdue payments and negotiate payment arrangements.3. Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies.4. Maintain accurate financial records and update the accounting system as needed.5. Prepare reports on accounts receivable aging and cash flow projections.6. Assist with month-end close process and provide support for audits.7. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer payment issues.8. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:1. Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.2. Strong presentation and leadership skills.3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.4. Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.6. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.7. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
