Accounts Payable

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team at AK Steel Holding as an Accounts Payable. In this entry-level position, you will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring that all payments are made accurately and on time. As part of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders both within and outside the company.

Responsibilities:- Process invoices and expense reports- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies- Prepare and process payments to vendors- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions- Assist with month-end closing activities- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any issues or inquiries- Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed

Requirements:- 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related field- Strong attention to detail and accuracy- Excellent organizational and time-management skills- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities- Creativity in finding solutions to complex problems- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
