Job Description:
Newmont Mining is seeking a reliable and energetic Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in Nelson, NZ. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process.
Responsibilities:- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries- Assist with month-end closing activities- Prepare and maintain accounts payable reports and records- Assist with internal and external audits- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely payment processing- Develop and implement efficient accounts payable processes
Requirements:- At least 4 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field- Strong organizational and time management skills- Excellent attention to detail- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively- Creativity and project management skills- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
