Are you a meticulous numbers aficionado with a passion for finance and an eye for detail? We're seeking a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join a client of ours contribute to their financial success. As the Assistant Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping.Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Support month-end and year-end close processes.Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings.Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies.Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Proven experience (1-3 years) in an accounting or finance role.Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel and xeroExcellent organizational and time management skills.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and retirement plans.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.Positive and collaborative work environment.Due to the anticipated high volume of applicants for this role, not all may be contacted.If you're ready to take the next step in your accounting career and make a meaningful contribution to a dynamic team, we want to hear from you!
