About the Company: Our client is a fast-moving distribution business based in Mt Wellington. They are in the market for an experienced Accounting Manager to come and manage a team of both qualified and non-qualified accounting professionals. About the Role: You will be tasked with maintaining robust controls, driving performance excellence, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures for your team. You will be operating across multiple entities and accounting systems so agility in your approach is key in this fast-moving industry. Key duties include: • Oversee accounting processes, subsidiary ledgers, and regular reporting. • Lead shared services team, managing both non-qualified and qualified accountants. • Plan and coordinate workloads to meet service levels across all entities. • Implement internal control audit improvements and provide team training. • Communicate and report on transactional processes and policy changes to senior management. • Build strong relationships with senior finance and management teams. • Identify and propose improvements in system usage. • Conduct continuous process reviews, enhancing controls, reporting, and monitoring. • Meet external audit requirements, establish improved internal controls. About You: To be considered you will have the following: • CA (or equivalent) • Prior people management experience is essential • Compliance and Audit experience • Experience with process and workflow creation, with integration of automation would be advantageous • Able to work in collaboration with diverse personalities and have effective communication skills across all organisation levels • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel • Capacity to lead and motivate through best management practices Apply Now!
