LawVu, a leading legal technology company based in Hamilton, Waikato, NZ, is seeking a remote part-time Accountant to join our team. This position is entry-level, making it a great opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in accounting. Responsibilities:- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets- Perform basic accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll- Reconcile transactions and bank statements- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations- Assist in financial analysis and forecasting- Assist with audits and internal controls- Collaborate with other team members to support financial operations- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field- Strong attention to detail and accuracy- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines- Excellent communication and organizational skills- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software- No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and grow in the role
