We are currently seeking a skilled Accountant to join our dynamic Plant & Equipment team based at our Wiri Station Road head office in Auckland. As the Plant & Equipment Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing our plant and equipment department, ensuring accurate financial records and contributing to the efficient operation of our organization.
Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records for HEB Construction's plant and equipment department.Perform journal entries and reconciliations related to plant and equipment transactions.Manage chargebacks associated with mechanics, labor (drivers), and transport expenses.Allocate fuel expenses and track usage effectively.Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis for management review.Generate bespoke and ad hoc reports to meet specific business needs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ideal.Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry relating to plant / equipment.Proficiency in SAP S4/HANA and MS Excel is essential.Familiarity with PowerBI is advantageous.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and accuracy.Opportunity for professional growth, learning, and development.Exposure to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.Competitive salary and benefits package (health and life insurance plus birthday off).If you are a proactive and motivated individual with a passion for accounting and a desire to make a difference, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
