With over 6,000 staff and 42,000 students, the University of Auckland is one of New Zealand’s most significant and complex entities.We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant within Financial Business Services team on a 6- month contract basis to provide finance, planning, reporting and analysis support to a wide and varied range of Service Divisions across the University.Job DescriptionThis will include providing advice, analysis and provision of management information to a high degree of accuracy and in line with University policies.AccountabilitiesProvide reports, analysis and information to assist business unit managers to meet strategic goals and key performance indicatorsSupport the development of business plans and business casesBuild strong relationships across relevant business unitsSupport the development of annual budgets and forecastingProvide sound business and financial advice to internal customers and support the decision making processesQualificationsTertiary qualified in Accounting and membership with CAANZ or CIMA membership preferredSignificant experience in financial and management accountingDemonstrated working knowledge of accounting best practiceA high standard of computer literacy with advanced Excel skillsSound financial modelling skillsExcellent Stakeholder engagement capabilitiesPrevious experience supporting IT based activity costing would be ideal.Additional InformationHow to ApplyApplications must be submitted online, by the closing date of Sunday 16th August 2020 to be considered.
