Business Services & Corporate Advisory (Accounting)Established in 1961, Gabites Limited prides itself on being at the forefront of Chartered Accountancy in Mid Canterbury, offering a broad range of accounting and business advisory services and taxation advice.We are a busy practice comprising of four directors and twenty-five staff.We operate from a modern open plan office in the Ashburton CBD.The RoleWe are looking for a Qualified (or working towards being qualified) CA, ACA or QBE with at least three year's experience in a Chartered Accountancy practice with appropriate technical and strategic knowledge on New Zealand accounting and taxation to ensure the financial reports of entities comply with accounting and financial reporting standards and taxation legislation. Some knowledge or an interest in rural accounting would be an advantage.This position is a full-time role although we would consider some flexibility for the right candidate.Possibility of some remote working for a candidate living outside the Mid Canterbury Area.Potential for strong career advancement.Role RequirementsResponsibilities of this position include:Preparation of Financial Statements – individual, companies, trusts, partnerships and estates.Preparation and filing Income Tax Returns – individual, companies, trusts, partnerships and estates.Preparation and filing of GST, FBT, and RWT returns.Maintain a current knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and industry best practice.Being able to use MS Office software and accounting programmes.Having good oral and written communication.Being able to work autonomously and within a team.To be proactive in supporting key strategies of the firm including confidentiality, accuracy, meeting deadlines, efficiency and demonstrating passion for excellent client service and delivery.RemunerationAttractive salary based on experience.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as an accountant?Do you have professional experience preparing income tax returns?Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
