We are looking for a motivated Account Manager who is keen to use their knowledge to keep our valued customers on board & proactively find new business.This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team at PlaceMakers based in Gore. You will be responsible for providing excellent level of service to trade customers and exceed sales and profitability targets through proactive value- adding account management.Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role offers a great blend of sales and account management. Your time will be spent out on the road managing and growing business within a well-established customer portfolio, but more importantly building relationships with new customers.Daily you will be responsible for –Ensuring regularity of contact so you can be ahead of the gameHunting for sales opportunities both in existing and new customersCollaborating with your colleagues and communicating with customers about stock availability, delivery times and pricing.Attending building industry & trade events to keep up to date with market trendsDeveloping relationships within the community and promoting brand awarenessImplement strategies to profitably grow key product areas including frame and truss, installed solutions, and core building lines.What we're looking for: Building industry experience preferred or a high performing salesperson in another industryDemonstrated experience in dealing with external customers and stakeholdersHigh level of ability to influence othersDemonstrable ability to problem solves and manage conflictSelf-motivated and acts proactivelyStrong sales drive and resilience will be essential with a solutions-focused approachExcellent communication skills and highly motivated with exceptional work ethicClean, full NZ Drivers LicenceWhat's on offer?
