As Academic Manager, you will play a critical role in ATNZ becoming New Zealand's leader in innovative work based training and apprenticeships in the engineering and manufacturing sectors. This is done by developing and maintaining best practice quality assurance systems that ensure our learners are receiving world class training that leads to meaningful employment and further career progression.As a Private Training Establishment, compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and guidelines is critical. The Academic Manager is responsible for ensuring we are not only compliant, but also continuously looking for ways to enhance the effectiveness of our learning programmes as well as meeting industry's needs and requirements in terms of the skills and capabilities they require now and in the future.Other responsibilities include:Ensuring that all ATNZ learning products are developed in consultation with Workforce Development Councils, industry and other stakeholders.Leading and guiding a culture of self-assessment and continuous improvementConduct regular audits and reviews of our learning programmesManage the internal and external moderation and other quality assurance systemsExploring opportunities for ATNZ to develop and launch new learning productsLead / undertake specific product, learning resource and assessment development projectsEnsuring that ATNZ is incorporating relevant and innovative technology into our learning programmesMaintain productive relationships with educational and industry stakeholdersOur Head Office is based in Newmarket, Auckland but we are open to having the role performed remotely from anywhere in New Zealand.About You:You will be an experienced Academic Manager with proven hands-on experience in managing an educational operation and a comprehensive quality assurance programme, and undertaking the tasks that accompany this. Tertiary qualified, you will need to have a good understanding of developments in digital learning and technology, and how they can be applied in a vocational education environment. It is important that you hold a deep understanding of NZQA, TEC and PTE compliance based requirements.
