Management - Vocational (Education & Training) We are recruiting an energetic person for our Academic and Quality Manager role, within an Education specialised team in the Education and Community Engagement function. The role has several facets from ensuring we are following all PTE Rules and Regulations, quality management and continuous improvement, providing Pastoral Care to students, leading moderation processes, and generally ensuring everything we do is high quality. We are there for boaties no matter their waka. Coastguard Boating Education is the part of Coastguard NZ that educates people to be safe while they are out on the water in their boats, whatever their waka. The education programmes are mostly short courses available online, in classrooms, and through distance learning packages. About the role Review/develop the current QMS to ensure it is accurate Review and ensure PTE rules and regulations are met Develop and monitor evaluation systems to measure the effectiveness Carry out audits of the Coastguard NZ Education and identify gaps, implement solutions Lead CNZ Education's moderation process Ensure moderation practices are clear and meet all NZQA requirements To be successful in this role, you will have/be Skilled at creating policies and processes People focussed – enjoys dealing with and working with people Thorough knowledge of NZQA and TEC PTE rules and regulations Ability to get the best from people despite the situation Quality-driven with a commitment to excellence and professionalism in all aspects of work Proactive – can act independently to identify ways to make improvements without being asked Bachelor's degree or higher (preferably in an Education-related field) The position will be located in our stunning Westhaven office, Auckland, with the ocean outside the doorstep and views of the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
