Are you an extrovert who likes dark/unique humour?Are you friendly, reliable and good at reading others?Are you looking for 10 - 12 hours of work a week in Glenfield?This role supports a man with a disability to keep things happening around his home. This friendly, chatty, Autistic man has some health challenges that mean he struggles to keep on top of some of the practical tasks around the home. He is looking for a companion and helper to support him with small tasks (like plugging in cables, tidying cupboards, assembling things or driving to do Trade me pickups). Some medium to heavy lifting involved (nothing over 25Kg). His home has air conditioning for those hot days and a massage chair for your afternoon break!This self-proclaimed geek who describes himself as big, gormless and harmless combination of Gru from Despicable Me and Megamind is in his 40s. His current support person describes him as kind, considerate and a gentle giant. He is looking for someone who will feed on his chatter, share in his humour and be respectful of the way his Autism shapes his view of the world. This would suit an extrovert who has many interests. He invites would be employees to let him know when he has overstepped the mark, and he will happily respect those boundaries. His autism means he finds it difficult to read the social cues of when someone is feeling uncomfortable. Training provided.These 10 hours of work in Glenfield (only 5 minutes from the motorway) would ideally be divided into three afternoon visits of 2-4 hours each. On a Tuesday, Thursday and maybe one other day, after 1pm. The role pays $28.50 – $33 per hour, depending on match and experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
