Third Place Cafe – Ohinemutu, North Island Looking for an 2 x Assistant Manager and 2 x Chefs for DS Kundal Limited T/A Third Place Cafe, Full-time position ( 30 hours) Wages:- $23 - $30 per hour. Important for Job: • Should have some experience as a Duty manager or assistant manager. Tasks Include • planning menus in consultation with chefs • Planning and organising special functions • Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget • Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions • Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance • Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service • Selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff • may take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders CHEF Tasks Include: Be responsible for your section in the kitchen. •Supervise the work of the Commis Chef and the Demi Chef de Partie. •Plan and delegate work to the other chefs in the department responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed in the department full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions. •Ensure all recipes are strictly followed and dishes displayed as perphotographs. •Liaise with Kitchen Hands to ensure all materials and utensils are ready for service. •Ensure adequate levels of misplacement are prepared and maintained as required for service. •When required assist Sous Chef with menu planning and standard recipes. •When required assist the Sous Chef with training of staff within your department. •Carry out any other duties as required by senior members of the Kitchen team.e., Executive Chef, Sous Chef. • Able to work across any shifts including weekends, and public and school holidays. • An immediate start will be more advantageous. • Please note that only short-listed candidates will be contacted. • Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. contact us if you have any questions.
