Workshop All Rounder

People PlusCurrie Construction is one of Gisborne?s leading construction companies specialising in commercial and residential development and civil projects. With a big team and a vast variety of work, we are seeking a jack of all trades to be our Workshop All Rounder. This role ensures that all machinery, sites, vehicles, and the team can run efficiently at all times.
This means that you will have experience doing a range of tasks relating to fleet maintenance and repairs, operating vehicles and equipment and construction, including:
Specialist welding
Driving, repairing and using machinery
Mechanic work for machinery and vehicles
Managing inventory: ordering, recording, use
Fleet maintenance
Workshop engineering
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Trade certificate and/or 3+ years experience in Mechanics or mechanical engineering
Full clean class 1 and 2 drivers licence
Experience operating workshop equipment such as forklifts, crane trucks, EWPs etc
You will have a sense of humour, be committed to doing a quality job, health and safety minded and willing to help. You have initiative and have the ability to work unsupervised.
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
