Oranga Tamariki - Ministry for Children's Youth Justice team are the key people who bring young people together with their whanau, victims, police, youth advocates and essential support services when a young person has committed a serious offence. About the role
The Workplace Administrator provides administrative and support services to our wider Youth Justice team. This is a fast paced and varied role suited to an experienced and professional Administrator. Working under the supervision and guidance of a Supervisor, you will be responsible for a broad range of administrative work for our team of Coordinators and Social Workers.
You will be delivering on tasks including (but not limited to) routine information gathering, recording and providing administrative help for youth court, organising travel and bookings for family group conferences and hui's, creating various templates and spreadsheets for team deliverables and assisting with various other day to day administrative tasks.
To be successful, you will need the following:
A high level of competence with the Microsoft Suite, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Experience in an admin support role or provision of team focused support services
Full clean valid NZ driver's licence without conditions
To demonstrate cultural awareness and understanding of tikanga Maori
Eagerness to learn CYRAS (internal database) and Consolidated Court Outcomes (internal database)
