Water Connections Supervisor About us Fulton Hogan is a leader in the civil construction industry privately owned with 7300 people strong across New Zealand and Australia We offer clients services in civil contracting construction infrastructure maintenance quarrying and asphalt production and surfacing We cover a diverse range of sectors including transport infrastructure water energy land development and quarrying We work hard to be the best we give it our all and we take pride in what we do We know we are only as good as our people so we are committed to hiring developing and retaining only the best in our teams About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Water Connections Supervisor to join our Auckland team We are looking for a leader to take responsibility for projects and staff in a profitable and efficient manner while ensuring that all work is undertaken in a legislatively compliant manner In particular we are looking for someone who can ensure the focus remains on safety quality cost and schedule in the planning and execution of the work Core responsibilities will include Deal with subcontractors and suppliers Manage people effectively Organise our existing plant equipment and labour to meet the needs of each project undertaken in this role Pricing tendering and securing new work Manage projects on a day to day basis Look after our valued customers and perform stakeholder management duties Produce reports for the management team Be committed to total quality management for each project undertaken Maintain health and safety standards Programming and scheduling of jobs Ensure that crews are working efficiently and have the adequate training to carry out their tasks Skills and Experience Required 5 years prior experience in a similar role with exposure to Traffic Management and water connections construction maintenance Has Level 3 or 4 NZ National Water Reticulation Certificate The ability to manage crews on the ground Ability to manage projects and ensure all key deadlines are met Strong interpersonal customer service skills Ability to process purchase orders and carry out budgeting responsibilities Ability to choose the right tools plant equipment human resources for the work at hand An appreciation for contract law and ability to interpret construction job specifications Understanding of current HSE legislation What We Offer Attractive remuneration package Down to earth approachable management Ongoing training and development An opportunity to join a multinational civil contractor that is passionate about creating and maintaining a safe workplace Leading and working alongside a team of likeminded individuals Be part of our success story and APPLY NOW As part of the recruitment process you will be required to undergo and pass a preemployment medical and drugs screen fultonhogan com careers
