The role We have a great opportunity for a Waste Water Treatment Operators to lead the Wastewater treatment operators (South) and supervise them in their duties and to lead the team in the management of WorkSafe and quality control systems. Embark on an exciting career in ensuring the provision of safe and healthy water for our community. You will work in an environment of clearly defined policies, principles and objectives, following routine and semi-routine standardised processes. You will be required to find solutions for issues within the existing frameworks. The responsibilities Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities including: Leading the wastewater operations on five days of the week and weekends as rostered, with a requirement to cover on call. Ensuring that wastewater services are operating efficiently and economically and meet the needs of their users. Ensuring that resources and personnel are utilised effectively and in accordance with organisational objectives, as well as making sure that relevant records and analysis are maintained daily. Providing specific assistance services related of OSH(Occupational Safety and Health) and quality assurances. Sampling according to schedule. Servicing equipment according to maintenance schedules. Proactively porting problems and inefficiencies and proposing solutions as well as daily monitoring and recording of treatment plant operational data. This diverse position will take you both indoors and outdoors, offering a variety of tasks that will utilise your meticulous attention to detail and high levels of energy. While holding a National Certificate in Water Treatment (Level 4) is ideal, what is most important is finding the right fit for our team and strong aptitude for the job. If you lack the certification, don't worry; we are committed to investing in your professional development and will provide the necessary training.
