We are seeking a passionate and experienced Waste Minimisation Officer to develop, implement, and monitor waste reduction initiatives across the Whanganui District. This role plays a key part in supporting Council's commitment to environmental sustainability and achieving waste reduction targets outlined in our Waste Management and Minimisation Plan.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have expertise in behaviour change strategies, ideally with experience in waste minimisation. A sound understanding of, and commitment to, sustainable practices is essential. Previous experience in local government is advantageous. Above all, you must be an exceptional communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills to develop and maintain successful relationships.
