Warehouse personnel have a key role in maintaining and enhancing the reputation and performance of the Company through the quality of the Company's product and the timeliness of deliveries to customers.
They must also ensure that his/her department fully cooperates and communicates with the customer service and other business functions to ensure that SimplyAir continues to have a culture of what we say is what we do".
An important trait of these roles is to be motivated and to be customer focused and strive for continuous improvement. This includes actively promoting and supporting lean initiatives that result in improved outcomes for the company.
You will be actively involved in all activities of SimplyAir assembly, inwards and outwards goods, warehousing and dispatch activities. This includes the manufacture of grilles, pre-insulated duct board products, powder coating, and other products by establishing and maintaining a safe and efficient workplace and providing products to customers which are of a high and consistent quality level and delivered on time, by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may and will be assigned as required.
Establishes and maintains a safe workplace with high housekeeping standards to assist the efficiency of the production, inwards goods, warehousing and dispatch departments and to ensure that there is no possibility of any injuries to employees or visitors.
Manufactures in accordance with the planning of production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
Is involved in manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications and QA requirements.
Adheres to production group operations on a daily basis and resolves manufacturing, delivery, quality and other problems to prevent operational delays.
Reviews all BOMs with respect to the accuracy and labour hours recorded once items are manufactured and reports them to the Factory Manager.
Operates the stores and dispatch areas for efficient cost-effective warehousing of product at optimum inventory levels and the dispatch of product to customers on time.
Liaise with Factory Team leaders on the procurement of all Equipment
Fosters an environment where all employees in the production group strive to continually improve their performance and be customer focused.
Works with the Factory Team leaders to resolve quality issues and concerns in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Provides information to the Factory Team Leader so production and other reports can be compiled.
Ensure that the factory work areas are maintained by all personnel in a clean and tidy condition.
Ensures all conduct of the operations group is in line with current Company policies and procedures and all relevant State and Federal legislation.
The company operates a continuous improvement system, incorporating many Lean Manufacturing tools and processes. Training in the companys continual improvement systems is an integral part to any role within the Operations function, and is fundamental in the ongoing requirements of this role.

As part of your position you are required to ensure that you, your department & all staff;
Follow all company policies and procedures
Take reasonable care for your health and safety and the health and safety of those around you
Report all potential hazards, near misses and incidents immediately
Do not wilfully place at risk the health or safety of yourself or any person in the workplace
Wear relevant PPE as required (personal protective equipment)
Actively participate in all WH&S programs and activities
Adhere to all safe work procedures and manuals
Utilize all equipment in a correct and safe manner

Ensure work area is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition and all conduct is in line with current Company policies and procedures and all current State or Federal Legislation.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Good verbal, written and computer communication skills are required, together with an ability to be able to read, understand and use engineering and assembly drawings and manufacturing and quality procedures.
