Ward Clerk (Part Time), Ward 9 General Surgery, Cm Health

As a Ward Clerk in this role you will work alongside all members of the multidisciplinary team as well as with patients and families and this position is integral to the smooth running of the ward.
This role is based at Middlemore Hospital your main responsibilities will be to provide customer service, efficient administration, effective communication, clerical and reception support. In addition you would need to have a natural empathy towards patients and visitors the ability to build and maintain key working relationships.
The ability to think on your feet and multi-task in this fast paced and challenging environment is essential. This is a General Surgical & Vascular Surgery ward. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic professional who enjoys working in a supportive team environment.
This is a part-time role working 20 hours Monday-Sunday rostered shift. You will work 7 days on and 7 days off from Thursday to Wednesday. The hours of work would be 5pm to 10pm.
Preference will be given to candidate's who can demonstrate the following experience and abilities:
1 year admin work experience
Ability to be self-directing and work with minimal supervision
Computer technology knowledge and skills
Strong communication skills

Previous experience in a health care setting and knowledge of Patient Information Management Systems (PiMs) is desirable, but not essential.
The salary band for this role is between $42,261 to $52,032 dependent on skills and experience.
