About the role

Ward 3 Surgical is a newly formed and refurbished 54 bed specialist surgery ward covering Acute and Elective Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Rheumatology, ENT, Ophthalmology and Maxillofacial areas. As a Ward Administration Officer you will be carrying out administrative and reception duties, providing essential support for the Ward's clinical staff. Your main duties will include reception, answering phones, assisting with co-ordination of patient flow, arranging outpatient bookings and ensuring all patients clinical records are available and prepared correctly.
About you
To be successful in this very busy role you will be the kind of person who is flexible, adaptable and enjoys working in a dynamic team environment. You'll have a friendly and welcoming nature and be comfortable interacting with patients both in person and on the phone. As you'll be dealing with patient information the ability to be discrete is an absolute requirement. Our ideal candidate looks to take ownership of their work and understands department and organisational priorities as well as the ability to multi-task.
In your application please provide examples where your attention to detail, customer service ethic and high standards of computer literacy have been applied to previous roles you've held.
The salary range for this position is from $36,239 - $42,740 per annum (pro rata) and will be based on qualifications and relevant experience.
