VOLUNTEER AT THE PERFORMANCE ARCADE 2021
Gain work experience by volunteering on one of Wellington's most exciting and original summer events! This would suit anyone interested in event production and management, marketing, design, architecture, and/or artist liaison.
Our award-winning festival The Performance Arcade will present a FREE city-wide programme of art and performance this summer, curated in collaboration with some of Wellington’s most exciting artists, events, and creative organisations. A vibrant celebration of art in Aotearoa NZ, this initiative marks 10 years of the Wellington festival and the first collaboration of this kind between various sectors of the capital’s creative community.
We are particularly interested to hear from people with hospitality or retail experience who are friendly, outgoing and who enjoy conversing with members of the public. You need to be confident and outgoing and willing to help with all aspects of the event. The options and opportunities are truly HUGE! If you have a superpower we would love to hear from you!
At the moment we are looking for expressions of interest. We will have multiple roles available throughout the month of February. We can offer roles:
Working directly with artists and assisting them behind the scene Helping our skilled statistician record visitor metrics, you will get to spend time sitting in the sun and watching performers as you count. Being a festival guide, providing information and assistance for our guests.
We can offer the opportunity to meet artists and curators as well as networking opportunities. A great addition to any CV if you are interested in working in the arts or events - not to mention the opportunity to do all that watching world-class performing artists in the sun!
