What does the day to day look like?
Working closely with our multi-disciplinary team, Vocational Consultants work with clients who have sustained injuries and may not be able to return to their previous jobs. Vocational Consultants:
Liaise with ACC Case Managers
Assess client career backgrounds to identify potential new job options
Train clients in employment skills and provide job search support
Source work experience opportunities with employers
Prepare clients to re-enter the workforce and get back to work
Place clients into work
What do you need to express your interest?
Membership with or meet the criteria to join
A minimum of a Level 6 Careers qualification
Recent experience in career guidance / recruitment
The knowledge to train others in employment skills (CVs, cover letters, job search techniques, interview skills)
A proven ability to develop and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships
Well-developed employer networks and ability to promote clients into jobs
Excellent computer skills with high attention to detail
Strong compliance focus with ability to follow processes
A passion for people and best practice
Initiative and a go-getting attitude
Ideally, you would also have:
ACC Case management experience
