Position Title: Visitor Experience Manager Location: The Turner Centre, Kerikeri Reporting to: General Manager Key Relationships: Internal: General Manager, Event Coordinator, Operations & Systems Coordinator, Volunteers, Casual Staff Employment Type: 25 hours per week (plus additional Front of House hours as required). Evening and weekend work are required. Role Overview As the Visitor Experience Manager at The Turner Centre, your primary responsibility lies in ensuring an exceptional welcome and the highest standard of customer service across the team - the champion of everything that is audience facing. Your multifaceted role encompasses the oversight of the bar, hospitality, box office and office. You'll spearhead the recruitment, training and rostering of the volunteers and casual staff who form our Front of House team. Additionally you'll maintain a well oiled bar operation, striving for a seamless and engaging experience for patrons. Cost analysis, budgeting and driving revenue, are crucial aspects of this role along with general office management at the Centre. You'll be at the helm of managing a diverse team of volunteers and casual staff while overseeing office-related functions. A key point of contact for stakeholders across the venue, ensuring that the needs and expectations of visitors are fully considered and delivered.  Key Responsibilities: Recruiting, Rostering and Training Recruit, schedule, and manage volunteers and casual staff Create and oversee rosters, ensuring professional and efficient event operations Lead, inspire, and develop the Front of House team, ensuring they excel in manaakitanga, service, and sales through comprehensive induction, training, and ongoing support. Bar & Hospitality Management Oversee food and beverage inventory, stock management and ordering Menu and POS system management Uphold alcohol licensing standards and compliance Financial and Budget Management: Vendor and Contract Management Cash Handling and Financial Compliance Cost Analysis and Control and Revenue Optimisation Office Management & Box Office Operations: Coordinate administrative functions to ensure smooth operations Maintain organised and efficient office systems and procedures Manage various suppliers including waste, photocopier, phone & internet Maintain up-to-date inventory of office and cleaning supplies In person box office sales Facilitate positive customer interactions and drive sales Manage cash, and maintain accurate records at the box office Skills Required: Recruiting, Rostering, and Training: Training and strong leadership abilities Bar & Hospitality Management: Inventory oversight Licensing compliance awareness Budget Planning & Management: Budget planning and reporting skills (Xero experience is preferable) Revenue optimization capability Cost analysis and compliance knowledge Office Management & Box Office Operations: Vendor and Supplier management and negotiation Cash handling proficiency Qualifications: Strong Experience in Hospitality Management, Business Administration Duty Managers Licence Proven managerial experience in hospitality, entertainment, or customer service industry Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills Proficiency in rostering and ticketing software, and familiarity with office management tools Ability to multitask, prioritise, and adapt to dynamic operational needs This role demands a versatile and flexible individual capable of managing diverse functions while ensuring an exceptional visitor experience.
