Video Journalist, Te Karere

About the role
We're looking for a talented Video Journalist to join our Te Karere team. This position will be based in Northland and is vital to expanding our News coverage in this region.
For over 35 years Te Karere has been at the heart of Maori broadcasting bringing news, in te reo Maori, to our viewers daily. Our Te Karere team are responsible for providing a Maori perespective on important local, national and international issues.
About you
You'll be a sole charge operator with the ability to source, shoot, report and deliver high quality newsworthy journalism. You'll be brimming with ideas and you'll have the ability to produce and present compelling, reliable and accurate stories for our viewers that represent the Maori perspective.
You must demonstrate a high level of energy, mana, a passion for news and current affairs and the ability to perform live on air.
You'll be a self-starter who knows what it's like to work in a fast-paced newsroom. Fluency and flair with te reo Maori is a must.
