While this position is to cover a 6 month period for maternity leave, there is the potential for the position to become a permanent full-time role.
The Vascular Ultrasound Lab at Waikato Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic, qualified vascular sonographer to join their friendly team.
We are a close knit team performing the full range of peripheral vascular ultrasound scans, including contrast enhanced ultrasound and assistance with venous ablation procedures. Waikato Hospital is a large multi-disciplinary hospital and a stimulating environment to work in.
The vascular lab is situated in the modern Meade Clinical Centre which is fully air-conditioned. We currently scan on a Phillips IU22 and a new GE Loqic 9 XD Clear. There are opportunities for research and attendance at national and international conferences.
We are a flexible and highly autonomous team working with full support of the vascular surgeons, nurse specialists, management and administrators.
