Our Technology Directorate delivers technology for GCSB, NZSIS and the wider security and intelligence sector. Our purpose is to ensure that mission requirements are met today and in the future - realising positive outcomes for New Zealand.
As Unit Manager, Service Management you will have a critical role in ensuring the right ICT tools and services are available to the GCSB, NZSIS and the wider intelligence sector when needed. The role includes responsibility for the effective delivery of ITIL aligned customer services, desktop support services and commercial management.
As a technology leader you will be adept at people leadership, commercial management and developing and implementing service delivery excellence. You will bring experience in:
Leading and motivating high performing teams to provide technology services to geographically dispersed and complex organisations
Providing operational resolution management support in large and complex organisations
Implementing major IT and business change projects

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
