Underground Mine Electrician

The role

Our Macraes Operation is looking for experienced Underground Electricians who can carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance, diagnose and remedy faults on underground mining electrical equipment, install and maintain underground electrical, high voltage, low voltage and communications infrastructure.

This will include but is not limited to training on submersible pumps, high voltage operations, leaky feeder communications systems, tele remote operating systems, VSD's and PLC's.
The successful candidate will have the following:
NZ Electrical practicing licence preferably with a Mining endorsement
At least two years relevant underground mining experience
Effective problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse a problem and assess the most appropriate solution
An excellent work ethic and the ability to work both as a member of a team, as well as independently
Full manual driver's licence
A high level of personal safety and workmanship
