A Trustee position is opening on the Whangarei Art Trust Board, offering a rewarding opportunity for an individual passionate about contributing to the responsibilities of governing the Whangarei Art Museum and the Hundertwasser Art Centre which includes the Wairau Maori Art Gallery. The three facilities combine to create an art precinct that operates at an international standard. The aim is to transform and enrich people's lives through the experience of art and nature. We are seeking a results-driven applicant with outstanding financial management skills and a strong business acumen. Experience working in a similar environment, with knowledge around charitable funding applications, policy, governance, and business strategy would be an advantage. Applicants should have commitment and dedication to working collaboratively with the trustees, staff, council representatives, and other volunteers. The successful applicant will join 6 existing Trustees on the board. All Trustee positions are voluntary. This vacant position is for a Council-appointed member, representing the community. Trustees must be available to attend monthly Trust meetings of approximately 4 hours in duration, with an additional 2 hours per week for administrative duties.
