We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Travel Clerk. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love working with people, and have a keen eye for organisation and accuracy, we want to hear from you! This permanent full-time position is based in Christchurch, and you are required to work at least 30 hours per week during the usual business hours from Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaising with our local supplier partners to facilitate the confirmation of our bookings.
* Ensuring ongoing communication with our overseas trade partners and individual customers in a timely manner, mindful of the time differences.
* Creating travel experiences for our clients and their customers to enjoy.
* Preparing customised itineraries to suit the clients' preferences and budget.
* Issuing invoices for our overseas trade partners and individual customers
* Coordinating with local tour guides, drivers, and overseas tour escorts to ensure a smooth operation.
What We're Looking For:
* At least 2 years of previous experience in a travel or administrative role OR
* Relevant qualification at NZQA Level 4 level
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Excellent attention to detail and time management
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and travel booking systems
* A positive, can-do attitude and team-oriented mindset
