Transport Operator

We are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic candidate to join our Overland team based in Auckland!

Your Role

Due to a recent vacancy in our Transport team, we have an opportunity for a Transport Operator to coordinate the timely movements of domestic freight for our clients throughout New Zealand. This position is based within a team of 8, reporting to the Transport Supervisor.

Your Responsibilities

· Customer service – ensure ongoing and consistent customer service satisfaction and communicating customer feedback to the team as and when required
· Transport administration and data entry
· Arranging cartage for sea freight, air freight and domestic services within specific KN requirements
· Maintaining excellent relationships with other internal departments
· Working within multiple systems to track, trace and update cartage milestones

Your Skills and Experiences

· Knowledge of the transport industry would be advantageous but not essential
· Proven experience dealing with customers
· Great attention to detail, accuracy and problem solving skills
· Successful history juggling competing priorities and meeting multiple tight KPI’s and deadlines
· An enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn
