Transport Dispatcher

We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for assisting management to drive the fleet operation. This is a hands-on role requiring you to meet our internal and external customers’ expectations.
Your profile, skills and attributes will demonstrate:
Ability to efficiently allocate transportation requirements for all pick-ups and deliveries.
Must have Container experience
Combi-lift experience would be highly desirable.
Your ability to handle high pressure situations and think on your feet
Strong planning skills ensuring deliveries are in full and on-time.
Intricate knowledge of HSAW, compliance and relevant transport legislation.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
Experience in a similar Fleet/Logistics Planning role.
Experience using ERoad and freight track and trace systems. Great communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Broad understanding of container fleet operation.

Ideally you will have experience in dispatch with a good understanding of Container fleet operations. Preference will be given to those candidates that have a qualification in Supply Chain, Dangerous Goods, Fatigue Management or similar and a valid forklift licence.
In addition to the above, shortlisted candidates must be prepared to undergo pre-employment drug testing. To be successful in this role you must possess a high level of safety awareness and the ability to work under pressure.
