Awanui Labs Blenheim is owned by Awanui Group (Previously known as Asia Pacific Healthcare Group), a healthcare company committed to providing facilities and services that deliver exceptional care to its clients.Our Patient Services Department is responsible for the collection of blood samples and handling contained specimens, i.e., human blood, faeces, urine, tissue etc from patients within the community and the hospital. These samples are then processed and tested in our state-of-the-art medical laboratory.About the Role:This is a casual position with no set hours or days of work.The key tasks include blood collection, responsible for handling contained specimens, i.e., human blood, faeces, and tissue, and preparing specimens for transportation.Provide professional customer service, and serve as a link between health professionals, their patients, and the laboratory.Previous Phlebotomy experience is not essential if you have:A positive and friendly approach to your work and demonstrate cultural and social sensitivity.Compassion for others, including a real desire to provide high-quality care to a wide variety of patients of all ages and circumstances.Excellent customer service skills including a high level of personal presentation.Strong attention to detail and an ability to follow processes accurately, even when under pressure.Good computer skills.Reliable transport and full Driver's license.Eligibility to work in NZ.What's in it for you:A friendly and supportive team environment.On-the-job training.A pathway of 'learn while you work' and build your career in Medical Pathology services.If this sounds like you, and you want to be part of a friendly supportive team committed to providing quality Phlebotomy Services, please click 'Apply' now to submit your application.Closing date: 17 November 2024
