Your Role:

Working as a Tradesperson, you will be kept busy in our depots with the inspection, servicing and maintenance of our rolling stock fleets. The primary focus of this role is to carry out the various maintenance checks and repairs as set out in the Mechanical codes and maintenance instructions, with the view to improve reliability and availability. These are very hands-on roles, working as part of a team of mechanical engineers in a collaborative environment.

Your Skills:
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly enthusiastic and enjoy a role that includes following procedures, instructions and problem solving. We have a great team here - you'll be working as part of a supportive and inclusive team environment.
Trade Qualified Level 4, as electrical, diesel or auto mechanic or similar. Exposure to a manufacturing environment, heavy or automobile industry, machine upgrades, or experience working with locomotives, ships or similar is ideal. Ability to evaluate and interpret hydraulic & pneumatic control circuit diagrams, electrical schematics and enjoy fault finding and process improvement. Knowledge of relevant Engineering specifications and sound engineering practices. Have a full, clean Class 1 NZ driver's licence. High level of physical fitness, team spirit and be Health and safety focused.
