Trade Assistants - Nelson-Tasman

Job Title: Trades AssistantWe are seeking Trades Assistants to join Extrastaff Limited.

Flexibility to work across various locations in New Zealand is preferred, as you may be assigned to different projects nationwide.Responsibilities:Interpret electrical layouts to determine appropriate systems, ensuring compliance with electrical and fire safety codes.Install and test electrical systems for proper operation.Repair system issues and replace defective parts as needed.Follow guidelines set by Supervisors or Managers to meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Monitor work progress and communicate delays or issues to supervisors or managers.Conduct quality inspections in your area of responsibility according to policies and procedures.Understand and adhere to safety policies; seek advice when necessary.Participate as a member of the marine team and the wider organization.Perform any other duties assigned.Compensation and Hours:Hourly pay ranges from $26.00 to $30.00.
A minimum of 30 hours per week is guaranteed.Skills and Experience:Ideally, one year of relevant experience or a qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 1, though not mandatory.Friendly demeanor, good time management, and strong work ethic.Willingness to learn and develop industry skills.Knowledge of health and safety procedures.Reliable and hardworking.Locations:Work may be required in multiple locations across New Zealand, including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.Employment Type:This is a permanent, full-time position.Application Process:If interested, please send your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience.
