Description
We are seeking Trades Assistants to join Extrastaff Limited.

The Trades Assistant will be responsible for:

Interpreting electrical layouts to determine appropriate systems and ensuring compliance with electrical and fire codes.
Installing and testing systems to ensure proper operation.
Repairing system issues and replacing defective parts.
Working within guidelines set by Supervisors or Managers to meet project requirements.
Monitoring work progress and communicating delays or issues.
Conducting quality inspections according to policies and procedures.
Understanding safety policies and requesting advice when needed.
Participating as part of the marine team and the wider organization.
Performing any other duties as assigned.
Pay rate: Minimum $26.00 per hour, up to $30.00 per hour.
Hours: Minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week.
Skills and experience required:

Preferably one year of relevant experience or a qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 1, but not mandatory.
Friendly, good at time management, with a strong work ethic.
Committed to learning and skill development.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
Reliable and hardworking.
This role is permanent and full-time.
