We have openings for multiple positions. In your role, on a day to day basis you will:
Assess the functional condition of vehicles by listening to customer feedback, inspecting and diagnosing faults to determine the extent of malfunction
Interpret fault codes from vehicle computers or test drive vehicles in order to recreate particular problems, adjust controls and systems as necessary and plan future repairs and maintenance visits
WOF inspectors would be inspecting and completing associated tasks as required by NZTA
Repair specific parts of a vehicle i.e.: repair, service, adjust or replace brakes; overhaul or replace generators, alternators distributors, fuel pumps or carburetors; repair electrical systems, air conditioning or heating; repair engine failures; replace rods, gears, valves or bearings; rebuild faulty assemblies like steering systems; rewire lights and ignition systems; repair transmissions; repair accessories like radios or mirrors, glass repairs and test and fit batteries. This list is not exhaustive
Work on the whole body of the vehicle which may include the need to align the vehicle ends or repair damaged body parts of the car
Complete preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters and ensuring equipment is operational.
Carry out pre-purchase inspections and vehicle appraisals as per process and procedure policies
Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs
Reach productivity and efficiency targets in line with manufacturers' specifications, and company procedures and guidelines.
Review work orders, plan work procedures and follow checklists
Procure repair related parts from approved suppliers to ensure vehicle repair is completed correctly and in accordance with guidelines.
