We are seeking a Toolmaker to work in our engineering team to help us uphold our reputation for high performance, easy to use, simple products that deliver 'best installed value'.

Our engineering department operates from a clean, tidy, modern facility with a wide range of CNC and manual equipment including a CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, CNC EDM, various manual mills/lathes and EDM?s as well as surface and cylindrical grinders. Reporting to our Toolroom Team Leader, you?ll be in a hands-on role, where you?ll be an essential part of the team that keeps the company going. Your diligence and attention to delivering exceptional toolmaking, coupled with your personal responsibility for the accurate assembly and fitting of new tooling will be important to you. To be successful in this role you will have:
A National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Level 4, Toolmaking or an Advanced Trade Certificate in Toolmaking;
Demonstratable experience in the fitting and finishing of highly accurate injection moulding tooling;
Previous experience in mechanical engineering and interpreting technical drawings is essential, as is your ability to plan and organise to meet production deadlines;
Ability to use all workshop tools to produce products;
A mechanical aptitude and a process-oriented approach;
High quality, precise work output;
Accurate and clear communication skills;
A commitment to quality, health and safety;
A positive can-do attitude, flexibility to contribute in all areas of our toolroom including preventative maintenance and a willingness to learn and be part of a team.
If you have previous experience in plastics manufacturing and/or EDM and CNC experience this would be advantageous although not essential as training will be provided for specialist equipment.
