Timber Machinist

We are a busy New Zealand owned and operated business specialising in the production of exotic weather boards and mouldings With substantially increase demands for our products we are currently inviting applications for qualified Timber Machinists to help us increase our production levels at our Silverdale manufacturing facility This will be a key role within our operation and applicants must be reliable possess a mature and positive attitude to work and be able to work productively as part of a busy team Applicants will be qualified Timber Machinists have experience with Computer controlled multi headed timber moulders and will have a flexible approach to hours rostered evening night time and weekend work will be required Applicants with a back ground in management or management training a welcomed as we are looking to build our team for the future Duties will include Operation of one of the Companys precision Timber Moulders Weinig Unimat 2000 Weinig Powermat and Rex Beam planner Operation includes setting the machines for the appropriate product maintaining the quality of the machined product maintaining production levels and completing realevent paper work for each product machined Maintaining Quality control and supervising staff Reading CAD drawings and use the information to produce intricate mouldings Be physically fit enough to stand for 9 5hrs a day while turning stacking and generally handling timber up to 6 1 metres long Other timber processing and related duties maybe required e g machine set up and operation of endmatcher Bohl wide belt sanding machine running one of the Companys two Stenner Bandsaws cross cut saws and rip saws Operation of a fork hoist may be required at times Working as part of close knit professional team producing quality Timber products primarily for the New Zealand domestic market Supervision of staff and assisting with day to day management of various departments If you have these skills and are looking for a career rather than a job Herman Pacific would love to hear from you
