Nakhon Thai Restaurant are looking for someone who is eager to help us provide a world-class service and dining experience that reflects our commitment to our customersYou must have at least 12 months experience working in a hotel or restaurant preparing Thai cuisine and demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of Thai ingredients and beconfident in preparing Thai dishes.You must be prepared to meet our operating and quality control standards.You will have a positive attitude and take personal responsibility for your own work ethic. You will take pride in the product that you are responsible for producing and your determination to delight your customers will shine through. As a cook in our restaurant your duties will includePreparing Thai dishes to quality standardsProfessional use of woks grills, fryers and other appropriate cooking equipmentIngredient preparation and management to minimise wastagePortion control to ensure quality and maintain product profitabilityContinual attention to detail to ensure a clean and hygienic working environmentUnderstand and adhere to all appropriate food control standardsReceiving ingredients and quality checking receipts comply with all food safety guidelinesEnsuring unused ingredients are appropriately packaged and stored to maintain shelf lifeUnderstand and prepare food to special dietary requirementsDaily/weekly/monthly kitchen clean down tasksYou will be responsible for contributing to the ongoing development of our restaurant products and customer experience as well as ensuring that all daily activities are met and our stock is managed effectively.You will be self-motivated and be able to communicate effectively with your team in order to ensure team goals are metThis role is for a full time position with a minimum requirement of at least 30 hours per week.
