About the new role
We’re seeking a well-rounded Tester/Developer to join our small (but growing!), hard-working and supportive team to deliver our award-winning web development service for an initial 6 month fixed term contract.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our existing clients via our support desk team as well as working on new bespoke projects, ensuring we are delivering the very best outcomes for them. It is the ultimate learning and development role that would see you gain excellent experience on high profile clients, working with our experienced development teams.
What's important to us?
You’ll have a a great work ethic and a ‘can do-wanna do attitude', with the ability to roll your sleeves up and get things done. It goes without saying you're super smart but for us, your ability to confidently and comfortably communicate well with others is just as important.
You will likely have at least 2-5 years experience with PHP and MySQL based applications, PHP frameworks and Content Management Systems, (i.e. SilverStripe); great experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript - including frameworks like Vue.js and versioning software such as Git.
You’ll be accurate and driven but at the same time flexible and nimble. You show genuine care for the welfare of others, especially our clients and their customers whom we aim to wow and delight.
We’re looking for that special someone with a passion for new technology who would relish an opportunity to grow and develop in an engaging and challenging environment.
Key Areas of Expertise:
Experience with PHP and MySQL application development
Understanding of testing methodologies and practices
Ability to design and execute test scenarios based on Acceptance Criteria
Test automation experience
Ability to confidently liaise with developers to address/fix defects
Good critical thinking skills and analytical skills
Knowledge of versioning software (ie. Git)
