About the role
A permanent Full time position Based out at Auckland Attractive salary on offer
To ensure all scheduled maintenance and required repairs to plant and equipment (including vehicles) are safely undertaken as per the terminal maintenance plans including urgent repairs whilst maintaining a comprehensive database on repairs and maintenance records as well as future requirements
You will have proven problem solving skills / Strong written and verbal communication, a Passion for safety, have a Mechanical and Engineering background, Experience in a similar industry - logistics / manufacturing with heavy machinery, Strong across all IT - Word, Excel, SAP systems highly regarded.
Main Responsibilities
Ensuring the Terminal Supervisor is kept informed of incidents or issues Ensuring all communication to staff and outside agencies is professional, timely and supports the best interests of Holcim. Positively contributing as a member of the Auckland Terminal team at meetings and planning sessions and actively promoting collaboration amongst team members. Representing the Auckland Terminal team as required at company meetings and external activities. Identifying and contributing to operational improvement and cost efficiencies through process and system improvements. Compiling monthly reports and ad hoc queries and reports as required. Fully utilising system tools to ensure timely and effective reporting to the business. Careful management of the Purchase Order system and requirements for the company. Invoice recharging through company SAP system for any work undertaken Performing and coordinating required repairs and maintenance tasks. Performing and coordinating regular maintenance to cement tankers and associated safety equipment. Ensuring that all terminal equipment is appropriately maintained to minimise unscheduled downtime. Perform required maintenance and repairs to all ancillary equipment used for the arrival, discharge and departure of international or company ships. Keeping the Terminal Supervisor fully informed on terminal and fleet upkeep. Maintains a close working relationship with the relevant site staff on day to day matters relating to engineering requirements and issues. Providing regular reports on engineering activities. Communicates clearly with the Terminal Supervisor of investigation outcomes relating to all reported incidents and ensure remedial actions are completed
