Hudson have an exciting new position for one of Sydney's most well established local government organisations.
Primary Purpose of Position
Provide and coordinate administrative support services relating to the tendering and contracts governance functions to ensure the effective process of Tenders Quotations and Expressions of Interest.
Maintenance of the Contract Governance System to ensure the Contract Management processes are optimised.
Ensure all information is managed in compliance with GIPA requirements.

Position Objectives
The major objectives to be achieved by the Tendering Administration Officer are to;
Provide high level, efficient and effective support to the Tendering Officers in ensuring that Councils Tenders, Quotations and Expressions of Interests comply with the Local Government Act and regulations, Councils policies and procedures and relevant Legislation.
Provide support to the Contracts Governance section and ensure that the Contracts Governance System is maintained in a timely fashion and is up-to-date and accurate.
Respond to urgent work demands and meet strict deadlines.
Ensure work is carried out accurately and with attention to detail.
Ensure information provided is accurate and in accordance with Councils policies and procedures and remain confidential where required.
Ensure people who contact the Unit are dealt with in a professional, efficient and courteous manner.
To be held accountable for working conditions under the control of the position and for detecting any unsafe or unhealthy conditions or behavior and to take immediate steps to investigate and rectify any risks to health, safety and welfare arising from any activity.

Essential Criteria
Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and to deal effectively with sensitive issues.
Strong organisational skills with ability to balance competing priorities and anticipate the needs of the team.
High level computer literacy and experience including electronic document management and Microsoft Office software.
A capacity to work in a team environment committed to customer service principles and quality assurance.
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels both verbally and in written form.
Ability to meet the challenge of functioning in an organisation undergoing rapid change.
The ability to meet deadlines and to balance competing priorities
Sound decision making skills.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Holder of a satisfactory pass in higher school certificate or equivalent qualification.
