What will you do?
As our Technology Manager - Software Engineering, you will be responsible for delivering the full life cycle of software solutions. You will be leading a team of over 30 specialists working on many new and existing applications such as myRyman, an award-winning application in every one of our resident care rooms in New Zealand and Australia. It is a game changer in the Healthcare sector allowing all information for residents and staff to be in one place, freeing up staff to spend more time with residents.
Whilst you are working in a technical environment this role is primarily about leadership and business management and as such you will be an accomplished leader who really enjoys seeing people grow and delivering results that work for the organisation.
You will support your team to deliver solutions that are fit for purpose and innovative
You will need to assist our managers to make decisions that are commercially astute
Sometimes we buy off the shelf, sometimes we build and sometimes we adjust something we already have, you will encourage your team to consider all options.

Who are you?
You know how to coach, motivate and inspire your team to ensure they are fully engaged and high performing
You're experienced in identifying, engaging and negotiating with suppliers to ensure external products and resources are utilised where appropriate and delivered on time and to a high level of quality
You come from a technical background, likely as a developer, tester or business analyst
You drive forward modern agile practices and promote continual improvement
You have experience leading a large team of Software Developers/Engineers
