End to end Problem management – life-cycle of problems (PBIs)
Root cause investigation and fix of all production problems
Co-ordinate complex/multiplatform incident investigation
Participate in development team’s project planning
Capacity planning – scale and stability initiatives
Work on code and config changes, and packaging. Maintain centralized code reposiroty
Identification of design and platform issues
Problem (PBI) ticket creation and tracking
Test life cycle management for fixes and changes
Coordination with other teams and vendors
Ensure that sufficient information is captured as and when a new issue is encountered and resolved, in confluence
Participate in managing major incidents, 24x7
Participate in daily interlocks with onshore and offshore team - Tracking the tasks for the day to the team
Ops Technical assessment, Ops handover related activities/discussions for projects
Handle technical issues for applications for which you are the SME
Skill/Competency Requirements
Essential –
Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.
4-5 years of sound Knowledge of Telecom OSS/BSS Domain
Billing application products – Oracle BRM with expertise in with expertise in billing modules like Subscription Management, Billing and Invoicing, Policy, Pricing and Rating, Batch Rating, Discounting, Reporting and Revenue Reconciliation
Knowledge of CRM (Siebel) and Mediation systems (Comptel)
Job/process scheduler: ControlM
Application Monitoring Tools: Splunk cloud, Netcool, Cacti
Database: Oracle DB, SQL
Programming languages: Java, C/C++
Operating System: sound knowledge of Unix, Linux commands
Scripting languages: Shell and perl scripting
Tools: Confluence, jira, git, svn
ITIL knowledge - Problem Management, Change management, Incident Management
Preferred –
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
Oracle certified in Enterprise cloud practices
Oracle certified Network Charging and Control (NCC) specialist
