Details of the offer

DC Equipment is a forestry solutions company operating on the global stage. They manufacture and service their forestry equipment from their head office in Nelson, as well as their branch in Chile. With a mission to create a safer and more productive steep slope logging industry, DC Equipment is world leading in its innovative technologies. A fast growing business, they need a mechanically minded and astute writer to develop technical documentation to ensure their ongoing product support to customers.

The Technical Writer is responsible for updating and generating a range of printed and online documentation to support DC Equipment’s growing range of products. Working closely with R&D, Engineering, Safety and Service teams, you will produce professional manuals, publications and training materials for mechanical products. Critical will be your ability to clearly articulate technical concepts precisely and succinctly.

This role would suit a technical writer or trainer with experience in mechanical, engineering, automotive, industrial/manufacturing or other high risk, safety conscious sectors. Naturally you have outstanding written and verbal communication as well as attention to detail. You will be skilled at extracting information from service technicians and engineers and turning this into appropriate content. DC Equipment is a busy growing company, therefore you will need to be an adaptable team player who works at pace. While this is full time role, there is some flexibility for the right person.

If you enjoy technical environments and want to work in a growing and successful business making a real difference to their industry in New Zealand and around the world, then apply today.

Apply now!

Please note, due to the upcoming holiday break we will be shortlisting applications in early January.
