Our Client
Our client is an international specialist in factory solutions, smart manufacturing and Industrial IoT (IIoT) technologies. They are trusted by some of the world?s largest manufacturers to design, implement and maintain their production plants. We are responsible for ensuring their products perform in the market.
They have created many success stories by building strong competency in smart manufacturing principles in conjunction with Industry 4.0 and IIoT technologies.
They are looking for an experiencedTechnical writerto be a part of the growing engineering team.
This is a contract role that comes with a visibility of going permanent.
Position Overview
Taking care of documenting assembly work instructions.
Analysing existing practices to develop and write relevant instructions, how-to manuals, and task cards
Working alongside subject matter experts to capture existing processes for documentation
Gathering, developing and disseminating technical information amongst related parties
Selecting appropriate levels of communication including images, graphics, charts etc. to facilitate understanding and simplifying the instruction
Encouraging an environment of sharing knowledge and ideas to ensure best practice processes and knowledge is captured.
Skills and Experience required
An Electrical/Mechanical Engineering qualification
Knowledge of Solidworks software
Proven experience in technical writing of processes and systems
Knowledge and experience in integrating quality, safety and environment into technical documents
Additional experience in CAD designing would be highly regarded
A system-oriented problem solving focus
A high level of attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Demonstrable investigative and research skills and well developed conceptual and analytical skills
A high level of proficiency in MS Office.
Able to work autonomously as well as work in a diverse team of engineers
