The Purpose of the Technical Security Consultant is to ensure the resilience and security of digital services whether they are new or established and to provide technical security leadership advice to various sector leaders.
You will:Provide advice and technical expertise to aid in future decisions that support the delivery of the objectives of the organisationConduct vulnerability assessment and security reviewsLead the configuration and management of cloud environmentsHead up the development of technical security standards and architectureProvide advice on cyber security threat and vulnerability management and contribute towards the GRC for the organisationBe focused on building effective and collaborative relationships across the organisationProvide mentoring and advice to enhance capabilityProvide leadership on projects and get involved both strategically and tactically to obtain high quality solutions
The successful person for this role will be confident in all things security related and share their knowledge and expertise with the rest of the team
Skills needed:Relevant industry qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA or GIACConsulting experience with security architecture and/or engineering experienceCloud certifications is highly desirableComfortably communicate complex and technical concepts to audiences from all backgrounds.Natural curiosity and keen interest to keep abreast of cyber security trendsC&A experience will be beneficialExperience in reviewing security configurations across various platforms including Windows, Linux. Databases and cloud environments as well as containerisationExperience in working with Qualsys, Nessus, Kali Linux, Elastic, etc.Strong understanding of frameworks and standards such as PSR, NZISM, ISO 27001 and NIST
