We are seeking an Product Manager with deep expertise in managing software products.
The ideal candidate is highly skilled in understanding customer needs, defining solutions, doing business analysis and working with the technical team to deliver solutions.
They must be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders from customers, vendors, developers, QA and offshore teams.This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with stakeholders to translate complex concepts into actionable business solutions while managing product roadmaps, writing requirements, and delivering high-impact projects.Youtap is a fast-moving New Zealand FinTech firm with clients in New Zealand and worldwide.
We are the technology solutions provider behind innovative wallet, loyalty, merchant and banking solutions.You must be a New Zealand Citizen or have a New Zealand Work Visa to be considered for this role.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement & Business AnalysisEngage directly with customers to understand their needs.Conduct requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews.Define and document business use cases, user stories, and functional requirements.Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.Product & Project ManagementCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and sales, to develop and launch financial and loyalty solutions.Own and manage product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and backlog grooming.Work with delivery teams to ensure successful execution of projects.Track and measure solution performance, making continuous improvements.Assist support and QA by reproducing reported issues, and conducting investigations and diagnostics to help discover root causes.Documentation & ProposalsWrite detailed business requirements, technical requirements, and statements of work (SOWs).Create customer proposals, RFP responses, and executive presentations.Develop high-quality documentation.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering).5+ years of experience as a product manager or similar role.Proven experience in the financial services industry, particularly with digital wallets, loyalty programs, or payment processing.Strong understanding of customer retention, loyalty, and rewards program best practices.Preference for someone from a software development / technical background.Experience working with enterprise clients and managing complex projects.Advanced knowledge of data analytics, warehousing, and cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure).Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.BenefitsA competitive salary package, commensurate with experience.Work with a dynamic and innovative team, contributing to cutting-edge payment and loyalty solutions.
